Short answers. Longer ones sit on the pages they link to.
Calling soon after you find the water usually leaves more choices. The call goes to an independent contractor.
Common questions
What is Water Damage Olympia?
A referral line with a website. It connects callers with independent restoration contractors and does no restoration work.
Do you have trucks or crews?
No. Any crew that comes to your home belongs to the independent contractor you are connected with.
Is it an emergency line?
It is a referral number, not an emergency service. For fire, smoke, a gas smell or a person in danger, call 911. For a water main or meter shutoff in Olympia, call Public Works at 360.753.8333.
Who sets the price?
The contractor does. This site does not quote prices. Ask for a written scope before agreeing to anything.
Will my insurance pay?
This site cannot say. Your policy and insurer decide. See Washington insurance basics for how coverage often works.
Is a burst pipe covered?
The Insurance Commissioner says policies usually cover burst pipes, frozen ones included, as long as you heat your home properly. Check yours.
Is flooding covered?
A typical home policy does not cover flood damage. Flood cover is a separate policy, through an agent, a broker or the National Flood Insurance Program.
I rent. Who do I call first?
Your landlord, in writing. Then your renters insurer. See the renters page.
How do I check a contractor?
Use L&I's Verify a Contractor tool. The hiring guide explains it.
Do you handle mold?
Not on its own. This line is for calls about water damage, with fire and smoke work also covered.
Where do you work?
Olympia ZIP codes 98501, 98502 and 98506, and Lacey ZIP codes 98503, 98513 and 98516. See the service areas page.
Who runs this site?
An independent publisher, reachable at contact@waterdamageolympia.com. The site names no person. See contact.
Water still spreading? Make the call.
You will be asked what is wet, where the water came from and whether it has stopped. Have the street address in front of you.
