How the referral line works
This site is a phone number and a library of local facts. A person with a flooded kitchen calls the number, and the call is connected to an independent restoration contractor. That is the whole mechanism.
Calling soon after you find the water usually leaves more choices. The call goes to an independent contractor.
What happens when you call
You dial
The number on every page rings through to a contractor that has agreed to take water damage calls from your area.
You describe the damage
The first questions are about the address, the source of the water, how long ago it started and what is wet.
You talk through the next step
Scheduling, scope and price are discussed with the contractor. This site is not on the line for that.
You decide
Nothing obliges you to hire the contractor you reach.
What this site does not do
- It does not send trucks or staff. It has none.
- It does not choose the contractor for the work, set a price or promise when anyone arrives.
- It does not file or handle insurance claims.
- It does not vouch for or guarantee any contractor's work, license or insurance.
Calls this line does not take
Mold testing and mold removal on their own are not handled by the contractors on this line. If your problem is mold with no recent water event, a call here will not help.
Calls from businesses, requests to buy services from this site, and sales pitches are also outside what the line is for.
Why independent
The contractor you reach is its own business. Check its Washington registration with Labor and Industries before work begins; the hiring guide shows how.
Water still spreading? Make the call.
You will be asked what is wet, where the water came from and whether it has stopped. Have the street address in front of you.
